Visit to Odisha’s Nandankanan to get costlier from April 1

Bhubaneswar: Tourists visiting the Nandankanan Zoological Park on the outskirts of Odisha capital will have to shell out Rs 10 more as entry fees from April 1.

As per an official notification of the zoo, the State Government has approved the proposal for enhancement of entry fees from Rs 40 to Rs 50 with effect from April 1.

The hike will be applicable on entry fees for adults (above 12 years of age) only. For children, the old entry fees of Rs 10 will continue, the notification said.

Similarly, the entry fees of Rs 100 for foreigners has remained unchanged as well.

The zoo authorities had on February 13 written to the State Forest & Environment Department seeking a hike in the entry fees.
