VIVO IPL trophy makes a stopover in Odisha capital

With less than a month to go for the Indian Premier League (IPL), country’s biggest sporting spectacle, IPL fever gripped the people of Odisha’s Temple City as the Vivo IPL 2017 Trophy made its stop here at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon.

Following a successful run in five cities across India, the VIVO IPL trophy reached its sixth destination, here today. The fans were excited to see the trophy their team will be competing for during the tournament.

Thousands of sports enthusiasts from across the state gathered here to get a glimpse of the trophy and to capture themselves in a special moment with it.

Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty spiced up the event with her glittering presence. Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena and Police Commissioner Yogesh Bahadur Khurania were also in attendance.

Speaking on this occasion, Jena said that the people of Bhubaneswar are fortunate to have the prestigious IPL trophy here with them. The city has always been a hub of sports lovers. The people of Bhubaneswar have participated in several high profile sports events vigorously in recent past. They are eagerly waiting for the Vivo IPL 2017.

IPL 2017 Trophy Tour Schedule started on March 10. During this tour, IPL fans across 16 cities will have a massive opportunity to see the IPL 2017 Trophy. With less than a month to go for VIVO IPL 2017, the management started the promotional activities after the grand launch of IPL 2017 Theme Song “10 Saal Aapke Naam”. The 10th season of IPL will start from April 5.

The trophy is now heading towards Kolkata.
