Voting over for Odisha college polls; counting on

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29:

Thousands of students in Odisha turned out to cast their votes in their respective colleges and universities of the state today. The fate of candidates contesting for various posts of students’ unions is now locked inside the ballot boxes.

While the voters were allowed to cast their votes till 2 pm, the university and college authorities are now counting the polled votes. It is expected that the results will be declared by 4.30 today.

The candidates as well as students are eagerly waiting for the poll results. Some confident candidates have already ordered crackers and sweets to distribute among their supporters, who had campaigned extensively for them.

Meanwhile, the police administration has deployed adequate security personnel in the educational institutions to avoid any post poll violence.
