Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin killed in plane crash

Bhubaneswar: Wagner mercenary group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, who led an unsuccessful coup against Russian President Vladimir Putin, was reportedly killed in a plane crash today.

The Russian Civil Aviation Authority has said that Wagner boss was in the list of passengers on the plane, reports said.

The plane crashed on its way to St Petersburg from Moscow. All 10 people on the plane, including three crew members, were killed in the crash, reports added.

Reports, meanwhile, claimed that the plane belonged to the Wagner boss.

The notorious warlord had launched a failed coup against Putin in June this year.

Notably, the Wagner mercenaries had assisted the Russian troops during their attack on Ukraine.
