Balasore: A wagon of stationary goods train caught fire at Rupsa Railway Station here in the district of Odisha.

The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

However, the prompt action by fire services personnel prevented any untoward incident to take place at the railway station.

According to reports, a freight train carrying coal from West Bengal to Balasore was stationed at the Rupsa Junction. The station employees noticed smoke coming out of a wagon of the train in the morning. The station authorities called on the Odisha Fire Services personnel to control the flame from spreading to other wagons.

Sources said that the goods train left for its destination after the fire was brought under control.
