Ever since the rumours of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprising their Spider-Man roles in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, slated to release on December 17, surfaced, Marvel fans across the globe have been eagerly waiting for the upcoming movie.

While Sony Pictures or Marvel Studios were yet to confirm about the casting, the two actors have not answered in affirmative while being asked on various occasions about the speculations.

However, fans are quite hopeful to see Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man from the Raimiverse and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man from The Amazing Spider-Man universe sharing screen with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the Marvel-Sony Cinematic Universe.

As the first trailer of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has clearly hinted the presence of multiverse factor in the movie, it is quite safe to assume that nostalgia awaits for Marvel fans on December 17 with the rumours becoming reality.

Further, Alfredo Molina, who had played the character of iconic villain Doctor Octopus in Raimiverse, had clearly said in an interview that he reprised the character in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. Appearance of Alfredo Molina’s Doctor Octopus at the end of the first trailer with the ‘scary’ tentacles has cemented the claims of multiple villians from the past Spider-Man movies returning in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

Several recent leaks have also fuelled the rumours of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. Photos of costumes of Tobey’s, Andrew’s and Tom’s Spider-Man from their respective universes being hung close to each other had surfaced on various social media platforms and gone viral.

The leakers claimed that the three actors wore the costumes during the shooting of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

As ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ remains one of the most eagerly awaited movies of Hollywood, only time will tell if the rumours are true or the fans will be left disappointed.
