Bhubaneswar: With the incident of Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty misbehaving with a journalist snowballing into a major political controversy in Odisha, the parliamentarian today spoke up over the matter.
Taking to Twitter and Facebook, Mohanty said he has utmost respect towards media and the incident was unintentional. “This has pained and saddened me,” he said in a video posted on social media platform.
“OTV news channel, owned by family of Baijayant Panda (former Kendrapara MP and BJP leader), has been assassinating my character besides irritating and insulting me. I request Baijayant Babu not to do so and stop troubling me while I am serving the people of Kendrapara,” Mohanty said.

Notably, the MP had allegedly misbehaved with a journalist of OTV on November 6 while the latter approached Mohanty for a byte after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sanctioned Rs 8.5 crore for the development of Baladevjew Temple in Kendrapara.
