[Watch] Explosives found in Konark Express in Bhubaneswar defused

Bhubaneswar: A special bomb squad today defused the explosives that were found in Konark Express at Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Thursday.

The explosives were defused very carefully by the bomb disposal team.

According to reports, the explosives were spotted by a sanitation worker in the general coach of Konark Express at around 3 am after the train reached the Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Thursday. On receiving information, the RPF personnel seized the explosives and kept it carefully following all kinds of precautionary measures.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the explosive materials are usually used as a means of long-distance signaling for ships in distress.

A case has been registered by Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Bhubaneswar Railway Station for probe into the incident.
