Watch: Groom works on laptop at ‘mandap’, here’s how the bride reacted

Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 pandemic has forced almost everyone to ‘work from home’.

This new work culture has brought about a paradigm-shifting change in how we go about our business, often working at very odd hours to complete assignments.

One Indian groom, however, took things a bit too far when he started working on his laptop at the mandap of his own wedding.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the groom can be seen sitting on a tiny chair, with full wedding gear on, and working diligently on his laptop with guests looking on. According to photographer Jay-Raj Vijaysingh Deshmukh who shot the clip and shared it on Instagram, this bizarre scene took place at a Marathi wedding.

The bride’s reaction when the camera pans towards her has got social media laughing. Sitting a few steps away from the groom, the bride can be seen in stitches.

“Busy Groom, laughing bride. That’s what we noticed in this wedding,” Deshmukh wrote while sharing the video.

The video has so far garnered over 1.5 million views on Instagram with thousands taking to the comment section to express their amusement.

The Instagram Reels video has gone viral on the photo and video sharing platform with over 1.6 million views and hundreds of amused comments.

“Groom be like: Shaadi ka kharcha bhi to nikalna hai🥴,” wrote one user.

“Must be deleting his old girlfriend pics from laptop at the last minute… Doesn’t seems like working 😂,” wrote another.

While most comments were jokes, some pointed out that the groom might have been setting up a video call so that those who could not attend the wedding can witness it virtually.
