Suchismita hails from Akhandalamani Sahi of Tikabali tehsil in Kandhamal district. She is the daughter of Prafulla Panigrahy and Suprabha Patra Panigrahy. Prafulla works as a panchayat executive officer (PEO) and Suprabha as teacher in a local government-run primary school.

After completing her primary education at Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Tikabali, Suchismita was admitted to Navodaya Vidyalaya in Phulbani, where she did her Plus II in Science. Then, she pursued Integrated BSc and BEd at Regional Institute in Bhubaneswar.

Suchismita got her MSc Degree from Karnataka Central University in 2021. Subsequently, she came out successful in the Odisha Education Service (OES) examination in the second position and joined Capital Girls’ High School in Bhubaneswar as the headmistress one and a half months ago.

Notably, Suchismita had met with a fatal accident a few months ago. She appeared in an interview for the OCS by sitting in a wheelchair. She was a little bit upset about this but had not lost her hopes.
