Watch low lying areas, Odisha SRC asks Collectors amid incessant rainfall

Bhubaneswar: With depression-induced incessant rainfall battering Odisha, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has asked the Collectors of all districts of the state to keep a sharp watch on the low lying areas.

In a letter to the Collectors, the SRC directed them to remain ready to meet any eventuality, particularly water logging and landslide in hilly areas.

The SRC also asked the Collectors to carry our dewatering, wherever required and monitor the situation closely.

The Collectors were also directed to submit a report on damage, if any, due to the heavy rainfall.
