[Watch]: Odisha cop turns singer, lends voice for women empowerment project

Bhubaneswar: Taking a unique initiative for women empowerment, Gajapati Superintendent of Police (SP) turned singer by lending her voice for a music video of a project.

The 2010 Odisha cadre IPS officer Sarah Sharma recorded soundtrack of the women empowerment project titled ‘She Team’ that will be launched in Left-wing extremism (LWE) affected district on June 28.

Through ‘She Team’ theme song directed by Guru Raghuram Patro, the police officer has attempted to create awareness among mass for safety of women and minor girls in the district.

‘She Team’ has been undertaken as the pilot project in Gajapati district, informed Sarah Sharma adding that the team members under the programme will rescue the women from being harassed or manhandled at any place in the district.
