Boudh: A street vendor of Gupchup (Panipuri) adopted a unique strategy of selling and has started making use of traditional folk music Daskathia to attract customers. A video of the vendor while performing was captured by someone with a mobile phone, which went viral today on social media.

According to a source, the Gupchup seller Kambhudhar hails from Pingilapada village of Boudh district. He had started selling Gupchup to eke out a living and support his family. After facing stiff competition from fast food sellers, he decided to do something different to draw customers’ attention.

Kambhudhar used to sell Gupchup by moving from village to village on his run-down moped.

Worth mentioning, Bhuban Badyakar is a street hawker from West Bengal, who sells groundnuts. He became an internet sensation through his popular song ‘Kacha Badam’ in 2022. Subsequently, the man from Birbhum district also rendered his voice for some of the pop song numbers.
