[Watch] Odisha Minister eats Rs 5 meal at Aahar centre

Dhenkanal: As per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Minister Pratap Jena today turned up at an Aahar centre here and had the Rs 5 noon meal today.

During his surprise visit to the town for review of various projects, the Minister visited an Aahar centre to check the quality of food served at the facility. A few pictures taken at the centre shows the Minister standing at the counter asking for food and later having rice and Dalma sitting alongside common people. Earlier in the day , Jena went to the Municipality office and reviewed various projects in presence of Director of Municipal Administration Sangramjit Nayak.

Earlier on October 23, Culture and Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi had visited Eklavya Model Residential School at Siriguda in Rayagada district and joined the students to have lunch.

Worth mentioning,  CM Naveen on October 22 had directed ministers and senior officers to visit districts and have lunch in schools, orphanages, hospitals and Aahaar centres to get direct feedback on functioning of the institutions at grassroots.
