Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor-turned-politician Siddhant Mohapatra set an example for many by helping an accident victim to reach hospital during crucial hour to save his life.

In many cases, casualty due to road accident takes place as people hesitate to provide timely assistance to the victim out of fear for police. However, the reel life hero turned a good Samaritan for the victim identified as Madan Swain, a lawyer by profession, who was profusely bleeding on the road after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Pahala flyover on NH-16 on the outskirt of Bhubaneswar city on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, former Berhampur MP Siddhant was on his way back to Bhubaneswar on NH-16, travelling from Balikuda-Gopalpur side after attending a programme at a private +2 Science college at Naranpur yesterday. At 2.15 pm on Pahala flyover, he saw one vehicle dragged a motorcyclist for a few distance after hitting his two-wheeler from its rear.

Acting promptly, Siddhant stopped his car and ran to the victim, who was in critical condition. He was severely bleeding from one of his legs. He called the ambulance and police to take the victim to hospital for timely treatment. His efforts encouraged the locals as well police personnel to transport the victim in an ambulance to a private hospital located at Forest Park area in Bhubaneswar.

Siddhant also reached the hospital and approached the authorities to facilitate better treatment for the victim. He also informed the victim's family about the road mishap and remained present at the hospital till the arrival of victim's family.
