[Watch] R Madhavan, Surveen Chawla tell the tale of ‘separating couple’ in ‘Decoupled’ trailer

Bhubaneswar/ Mumbai: “ Who’s interested in listening to a separating couple talking about marriage?…Everyone.” With that dialogue, opens the trailer of Netflix’ upcoming show ‘Decoupled’, starring actors R Madhavan and Surveen Chawla.

Decoupled, as narrated on video-sharing platform YouTube, is a ‘story of a separating couple navigating through the crazy journey that is marriage.’ The couple ‘Arya’ and ‘Shruti’ played by R Madhavan and Surveen Chawla seems to fall out of love and spends a lot of time complaining. They also discuss ‘grounds to hold on to’ while they are discussing their separation.

“ Loneliness is not the scarcity of people…Loneliness is when hot people don’t want to be with you,” Madhavan records a note for himself, as he’s moving around in a gym while Surveen is running on a treadmill.

Decoupled is broadly the story of the transformation of Arya and Shruti’s life together from being friends to falling in love, turning life partners, and later, falling out of love. As the couple decides to part ways, they juggle with questions of if they should or shouldn’t part ways.

‘Decoupled’ will release on December 17 and stream on Netflix. Apara Mehta and Akash Khurana will portray characters in supporting roles.
