Ganjam: District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange got into the shoes of a farmer briefly and interacted with local farmers in Bharasa village of Khallikote in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Monday.
In the presence of district administration officials and his security personnel, the bureaucrat rolled up his sleeves and trousers and got down to work in the field.
The 2013-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer also transplanted paddy seedlings himself, as he spoke to local farmers about cultivation techniques and various farmer welfare schemes of the state.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took to social media and lauded the efforts of Kulange.
