Puri: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today went to the pilgrim town of Puri to witness the Ratha Jatra of Lord Jagannath and His siblings.
The CM, who returned from his foreign tour last night, had darshan of the deities on the chariots and prayed for the well-being of the people of the state.
Patnaik also pulled the Nandighosa chariot of Lord Jagannath along with Governor Ganeshi Lal and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of the Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project.
“With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, the Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project is going on as per the schedule. It will give a special feeling to the countless devotees coming to Puri for darshan of the deities in the future,” the CM said.
