Balasore: Carcass of a whale shark was found in a nullah connected to sea near Kantiachera village under Khantapada police limits in Odisha's Balasore district, today.

The reason behind the death of the animal was yet to be ascertained.

Worth mentioning, local fishermen had caught a whale shark weighing five quintals and brought it to shore, three days ago. As the locals opposed the act, the fishermen later released the whale shark into the sea.
