Water level at Hirakud reservoir in Odisha crosses 625 feet

Burla, Sept 11:

Water level of Hirakud reservoir at Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur district has crossed 625 feet.

As against the optimum capacity of the reservoir of 630 feet, water level of the reservoir had touched 625.49 feet by 6 AM today, sources in the dam said.

While the reservoir was receiving 2.60 lakh cusecs of water, 1.61 lakh cusecs of water was being released from 10 gates.

The gross release of water from the 10 gates and the power channel house now stands at 1.84 lakh cusecs
