To avoid accidents visitors are not allowed to park their vehicles near the entrance and exit of the historical Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves.

They have to park them in a temporary parking stand given out on tender by Odisha State Road and Transport Corporation  (OSRTC). Local vehicle have to pay Rs 50 while outside is Rs 100 as parking charges. Around 50 buses and several cars come everyday for visiting the beautiful caves, according to Sambad.

The water posts with six taps are lying broken and unused as there is no water, there are four toilets but are unusable as they do not have water facilities.

Passengers have to walk for some distance to a tube well, which gives out water with difficulty.
