Weather alert: 12 Odisha dists likely to experience rainfall

Bhubaneswar: Moderate rainfall is likely to occur in 12 districts of Odisha today, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Ganjam and Puri districts are likely to experience moderate thunderstorm and lightning with light to moderate rainfall between 10 am and 1 pm today, a bulletin of the Meteorological Centre said.

On the other hand, a cyclonic circulation over westcentral and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh coast extending upto 4.5 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists.

Under its influence, various parts of Odisha are likely to experience showers till September 27.
