Weather alert: 19 Odisha dists likely to experience thunderstorm today

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre has forecasted that as many as 19 districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today.

“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri,” the Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha, it predicted.
