Weather alert: 22 Odisha dists likely to experience thunderstorm

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with rainfall and gusty wind is likely to lash as many as 22 districts of Odisha today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

The districts likely to experience thunderstorm are Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Khordha, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Koraput, Boudh, Kandhamal, Jagatsinghpur, Nuapada, Sonepur and Cuttack.

Moderate thunderstorm/lightning with light rainfall and gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph likely to occur at one or two places over these districts between 3 pm and 6 pm today, the Meteorological Centre said.
