Weather alert: Heavy rain to drench Odisha’s Twin City today

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to drench Odisha’s Twin City Bhubaneswar and Cuttack today, warned Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.

According to the regional meteorological centre, light to moderate rain and thundershowers with one or two intense spells of rain is very likely to occur in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city areas during next 2-3 hours.

The intense spell of rain may cause waterlogging in low lying areas and underpass road.

Meanwhile, more rainfall is expected in upcoming week in many parts of the State as a fresh low pressure is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea and adjoining east central Bay of Bengal around 9th October.
