Weather alert: Rain, thunderstorm likely in 27 Odisha districts this evening

Bhubaneswar: With the likelihood of an impending low pressure in Bay of Bengal, almost the entire state is likely to experience thundershower this evening.

Rain and thunderstorm warning has been issued for this evening in as many as 27 districts of Odisha by the Indian Meteorological Centre.

Parts of Angul, Balasore, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Boudh, Bolangir, Cuttack, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Sundergarh will witness thunderstorm and lightning.

Light to moderate rainfall is also likely to occur in these areas, as per the latest weather bulletin.

These weather conditions are likely between 3:15 pm and 7:15 pm this evening.
