Weather Alert: Thunderstorm, rain in 8 Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), regional centre today issued thunderstorm alert for eight districts across the state today.

As per the latest bulletin issued by MeT Centre, moderate thunderstorm accompanied with light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over districts of Mayurbhanj,Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Khordha, Jajpur, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur. The weather condition is likely to prevail in the areas till 2 pm today.

Besides, gust surface wind with speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph will prevail in these stations during the period.
