Weather Alert! Thunderstorm, rainfall warning issued for 20 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre issued thunderstorm, lightning and rainfall warning for as many as 20 districts for today.

“Moderate thunderstorm and lightning with light to moderate rainfall likely to occur at places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Bargarh, Rayagada, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city) & Jajpur ,” Bhubaneswar MeT stated in a release.

Such weather condition may prevail in these districts till 7.30 pm today.

People of the areas have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places accordingly.
