Weather update: Mercury to fall; dense fog to blanket Odisha for next 4 days

Bhubaneswar: After spell of rainfall in several parts of Odisha, thick blanket of fog is likely to engulf the State with possible decline of mercury during next three days.

According to Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall gradually by 3-4 degree Celsius during next 3 days and dense fog to blanket many parts of the State during next 4 days.

The MeT issued yellow warning for several districts from January 17 till January 20.

Jan 17-18: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Boudh and Sonepur.

Jan 18-19: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Jan 19-20: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Keonjhar.

Due to dense fog, the visibility may drop to around 200 metres disrupting traffic movement in these above places during the period, the MeT warned.
