Bhubaneswar: The Met Department has forecast thunderstorm for more areas in Odisha, today.

Moderate thunderstorm and lightning is likely in parts of Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Mayurbhanj.

These weather conditions will also be accompanied by light rainfall and wind gusting at 40 kmph, according to the latest weather bulletin.

The thunderstorm alert will persist between 5:15 pm and 7:15 pm today.

Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted such weather conditions for 14 other districts of Odisha this evening, namely Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Khordha.
