Weather warning: Heavy rain alert in Odisha for next two days

Bhubaneswar: After the formation of low pressure over Bay of Bengal a few days ago, another cyclonic circulation lies over the northwest part of the bay that is likely to trigger rainfall in many areas of Odisha, according to the forecast of Indian Meteorological Centre.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in Kalahandi, Puri, Ganjam, Bargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur and Deogarh till tomorrow.

Furthermore, such weather conditions are also likely between July 6 and July 7 in areas such as Sambalpur, deogarh, Sundergarh, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Bolangir and Sonepur.

Due to high waves and strong monsoon current, sea condition is likely to be rough and very rough along Odisha coast, therefore, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
