Weather warning: Heavy rainfall likely in Odisha from July 25

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in many parts of Odisha between July 25 and July 28.

Though southwest monsoon has been subdued in Odisha, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to lash most districts of Odisha.

Intense rainfall is likely to occur in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Balasore between July 25 and July 26, as per the weather bulletin.

Furthermore, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Sambalpur and Deogarh will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall while Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khodha, and Sundergarh will witness heavy rain between July 26 and July 27.

Similar weather conditions will prevail between two consecutive days on July 27 and July 28 with heavy to very heavy rainfall lashing parts of Sambalpur, Boudh, Bargarh, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur, while heavy rainfall is slated to occur in Puri, Ganjam, Nuapada, Bolangir, Koraput and Kandhamal on these days.

There will be subsequent decrease in rainfall in the next two days after July 28.
