Websites of OAS Association, several colleges hacked in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Over 50 websites including the portals of OAS Association and several government colleges were reportedly hacked across the State on Saturday.

Although the identity of hacker is yet to be ascertained, the homepage of the hacked websites shows ‘Mad Tiger’ when someone visits the sites.

A group of hackers is suspected behind the jailbreak of the websites. They allegedly targeted the important websites like OAS Association, Hindol College, Balugaon College and Salipur College in name of ‘Mad Tiger’.

According to reports, the skilled computer experts jailbroke the websites of several educational institutions and also private firms. Though the purpose behind the hacking is unclear, the hackers might have accessed the data of those organisations.

The jailbreak of dozens of websites on a single day could be termed as a major ‘cyber attack’ in the State.
