Bhubaneswar: In a novel initiative, the Ganjam district administration today issued a WhatsApp number for people of the district to lodge their grievances.

Official sources said the Ganjam district administration asked people to send their application through the WhatsApp number - 09437563800, instead of visiting the Ganjam Collectorate. The application will be processed as per procedure thereafter, the sources added. Also, someone can call the number between 10.30 am to 5 pm in case of any issues.

This is the first time the local administration of a district in Odisha has issued a WhatsApp number for public to lodge their grievances.
