Bhubaneswar: BJP leader and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today expressed his willingness to fight the 2024 Lok Sabha polls from Odisha.
“I wish to contest Lok Sabha polls in 2024. I have requested the party to give me chance to contest from Odisha,” Pradhan said in an interview to a news agency.
Pradhan further said he is a disciplined worker of BJP and he will abide by the decision of party in this regard.
Pradhan, the son of former Union Minister Debendra Pradhan, had represented Pallalahara Assembly constituency in Odisha from 2000-2004. He had been elected to Lok Sabha from Deogarh in Odisha in 2004.
Pradhan was elected to Rajya Sabha for two consecutive terms from Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
He had earlier served as Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
