With 12 more COVID-19 deaths, toll nears 1500 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll is inching towards 1500-mark in Odisha after the deadly virus claimed 12 more lives in the last 24 hours.

“Regret to inform the demise of twelve #COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

With 12 new deaths, the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 rose to 1,495 in Odisha.

The fresh deaths were reported from 8 districts. While 3 more died in  Sundargarh district, in a single day, 2 each succumbed to the virus in Khordha and Dhenkanal districts in a single day. One each died in Angul, Kandhamal, Koraput, Puri and Sambalpur districts.

Here’re details of 12 new COVID-19 deaths in Odisha:

1.A 58-year-old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus with UTI.

2.A 48-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was a Post OP & post RT patient of GBM Grade-4 with Paraplagia & CKD.

3.A 57-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

4.A 69-year-old male of Dhenkanal who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

5.A 52-year-old male of Dhenkanal district.

6.A 46-year-old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

7.A 60-year-old female of Koraput district.

8.A 45-year-old male of Puri district.

9.A 60-year-old male of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & CVA.

10.A 55-year-old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

11.A 51-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

12.A 52-year-old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from multiple heart disease.
