With 137 new infected, Bhubaneswar’s COVID-19 tally crosses 2500-mark

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar breached 2500-mark with 137 new confirmed cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Of total new positive cases, 98 cases have been detected from quarantine centres and 39 are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

The slums have turned into hotspot in the city where maximum numbers of cases are being confirmed positive everyday.

As per details shared by the civic authority, 11 persons linked with an earlier positive case have been tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases increased to 2502, of which 1271 are active. The virus has claimed 13 lives in the city so far.
