Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll climbed to 380 in Odisha with 8 more persons succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, informed State dashboard today.
"Regret to inform the demise of Eight #COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals," tweeted the State Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.
The fresh deaths were reported from 5 districts. While 4 patients died of COVID-19 in Ganjam district, the virus claimed 1 each life in Khordha, Cuttack, Puri and Dhenkanal districts.
With new deaths, the toll in Ganjam, Khordha, Cuttack, Puri and Dhenkanal districts reached 166, 52, 19, 10 and 2 respectively.
Here're details of death cases reported today in Odisha:
1. A 59-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.
2. An 82-year old male of Cuttack district.
3. A 58-year old male of Dhenkanal district.
4. A 57-year old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension & hypothyroidism.
5. A 48-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes & morbid obesity.
6. An 82-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
7. A 62-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension.
8. A 76-year old female of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension.
Besides, the number of deaths in other districts is – Sundargarh (24), Rayagada (17), Gajapati (16), Rayagada (14), Nayagarh (9), Balasore (8), Sambalpur (8), Kandhamal (7), Puri (8), Bhadrak (6), Angul (3), Bargarh (5), Keonjhar (5), Mayurbhanj (3), Jajpur (4), Kendrapara (3), Malkangiri (3), Koraput (2), Kalahandi (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Dhenkanal (1), Jharsuguda (1), Balangir (1), Sonepur (1) and Nabarangpur (1).
