Woman among 3 killed in road mishap in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Bhubaneswar: Three persons, including a woman, were killed in a road mishap in Umerkote area of Nabarangpur district in Odisha today.

According to sources, the trio along with a child was travelling on a motorcycle (OR 24 A 4697) to reach Motigaon when the accident took place.

A pick-up van (OD 24 A 0302) coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle from the front near Bakadabedha village under Umerkote police limits, sources said.

The trio died on the spot while the child sustained critical injuries in the mishap. Locals rescued the injured child and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

The identities of the deceased persons were unknown till the filing of the last report.

“The three persons along with the child were travelling on a bike and none of them was wearing a helmet,” said a local.
