Woman attempts self-immolation outside Naveen Niwas

Bhubaneswar: A woman attempted self-immolation outside Naveen Niwas, the residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik  here, today alleging that she has been sexually harassed by BJD candidate Srinath Soren from Udala Constituency of Mayurbhanj district.

However, security personnel deployed outside the CM’s residence rescued and sent her to Capital Hospital here.

The woman alleged that she was sexually harassed by Soren, following which she had brought the matter before police earlier. The woman said that she decided to take the extreme step as no action has been taken him so far.
