Woman axed to death by husband in Odisha’s Balangir

Patnagarh: A man allegedly axed his wife to death at Brahmapura village under Patnagarh police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district.

The accused Krushna Chandra Bag fled from the spot following the incident.

According to reports, Krushna Chandra Bag used to shout at his wife Anjana Bag many times over trivial issues at home.

“He usually gets indulged in verbal fights with my mother at home. He hacked her to death with an axe while the latter was taking a bath in the morning,” said the deceased’s son.

The Patnagarh police launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
