Woman, baby girl found dead on railway track in Odisha’s Khordha

Khordha: A woman and her baby girl were found lying dead on railway track near Abhimanpur village under Tangi police limits in Odisha’s Khordha district today.

Though it is being suspected that the two died after being hit by a train, it was yet to be ascertained whether the incident was a mishap or suicide.

On being informed, Tangi police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

On the other hand, family members of deceased woman Jharana Swain have lodged a police complaint alleging that the mother-daughter duo was murdered. They further alleged that the woman was being tortured by her in-laws.
