Woman bank employee robbed of Rs 5 lakh in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a broad daylight robbery, Rs five lakh was allegedly looted by two motorcycle-borne miscreants from a woman bank employee in Odisha’s Keonjhar district today. The incident occurred in Turumunga bazaar, around 500 meters away from the Turumunga Police Station in the district.

The loot victim, Arnapurna Mishra works as an Accountant at the Keonjhar Central Co-Operative Bank, Turumunga branch. When the woman employee of Keonjhar Central Co-Operative Bank along with Gunman Jadumani Mahanta was returning from the nearby Bank of India after withdrawing Rs 5 lakh, two miscreants riding a motorcycle reached the spot.

One of the motorcyclists snatched the cash bag from Arnapurna. At the same time, the Gunman tried to fire at them. But the two miscreants managed to flee the spot within few minutes.

Based on a complaint filed by the Branch Manager of Keonjhar Central Co-Operative Bank Laxmipriya Sahu, the police launched an investigation into the incident.
