Woman burnt alive in Odisha village

Subarnapur, Jun 5:

In a tragic incident, a young woman was burnt alive in a house fire in Ghodadhar village under Binika block in Odisha’s Subarnapur district today.

Local sources said Sanjukta Bagh; the newlywed daughter-in-law of Arjun Bagh was charred to death as the room in which she was sleeping caught fire.

Six rooms including the one in which Sanjukta was sleeping have been destroyed in the fire, sources added.

While fire tenders have been able to douse the fire, Binika police have seized the charred body of Sanjukta for post-mortem and are investigating the matter.
