Woman critical after being attacked by elephant in Odisha’s Dhenkanal
Dhenkanal: A woman sustained serious injuries after allegedly being attacked by an elephant in wee hours today in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.
The victim has been identified as Binati Shendha, wife of Sharat Sendha of Chaulia village under Dhenkanal Sadar forest range.

According to reports, the 42-year-old Binati had been to her farmland located near Joranda nullah at around 5.00 am to pluck vegetables. While she was busy at her work, suddenly an elephant trampled her and disappeared.
Hearing scream of the woman, some farmers present near the location rescued her in a critical condition. They rushed her to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
