Woman critically injured after suicide attempt in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur, Oct 30:

A married woman in Deriki village under Naugaon police limits in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district today sustained critical burns after attempting to commit suicide by setting herself ablaze, reports said

The woman identified as Manorama Sethi poured kerosene on her body before setting herself on fire. Initially, she was admitted to the district headquarters hospital here in a serious condition. As her condition deteriorated further she was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack reports added.

According to reports, Manorama attempted to commit suicide following a dispute within the family. She was married two years back and her husband stays in Chennai.
