Woman dengue patient dies at Odisha’s SCB Hospital

Cuttack: Dengue has claimed life of a woman who was undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack.

The deceased, identified as Rama Barik (50) of Sakhigopal in Puri district, was admitted to the Dengue ICU of the hospital on October 8. She breathed her last yesterday while during treatment around 6.30 PM, hospital sources said.

She was diagnosed with dengue fever, thrombocytopenia and hepatopathy, sources added.

Another woman, Debaki Behera of Aul area in Kendrapara district, had died of dengue at the hospital in August, this year.
