Woman dies of snakebite in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A 50-year-old woman died after being bitten by a venomous snake at Korkara village under Bhadrak Rural police limits in the district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Sukanti Pethala. A snake bit the woman this morning when she was present at the backyard of her house.

Later, she complained of headache and illness following which her family members rushed her to the district headquarters hospital, where she breathed her last.

The body will be handed over to the kin of the deceased after autopsy, hospital sources said.
