Woman found dead in Bindu Sagar lake in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A woman was found dead in Bindu Sagar lake near the Lingaraj Temple in Odisha capital, this morning.

The deceased was identified as Trupti Das. She was a resident of Nayapalli here.

The Lingaraj police recovered the body and sent it to the Capital Hospital here for post-mortem.

Though the cause of the death was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that she drowned in the water body, last night.

Police have registered an unnatural death case in this matter.

As per her family members, Trupti was mentally challenged. She went to the Lingaraj Temple yesterday but didn’t return home, following which her kin lodged a missing complaint with the Nayapalli police.
