Woman found dead inside train in Odisha

Sambalpur: Body of a woman was found from the Rayagada-Sambalpur Intercity Express at Sambalpur Railway Station here today.

The Sambalpur GRP has sent the body to VIMSAR for post-mortem to ascertain cause of death.

However, the identity of the deceased woman is yet to be known.

According to reports, the cleaning staff of the Railways found the body inside an compartment on Thursday night after the train arrived in Sambalpur from Rayagada. On receiving information, the GRP personnel reached the spot and recovered the body.

The train departed at 8.00 AM from Sambalpur, around 2 hours late, as the recovery process of the body from the train was delayed in the morning.
